This time is not easy on your body, but so many of the injuries, aches, and pains associated with this journey can be prevented, minimized, and effectively repaired. Prevent prenatal injuries, prepare for birth, and learn how to repair and return to exercise postpartum, educated and empowered!
This workshop is open to women at all stages of pregnancy and those planning to conceive.
Join Shauna Ironside, Osteopathic Manual Practitioner, Athletic Therapist, and active mumma of three for this 4-week prenatal workshop.
4 WEEKS OF TOPICS:
Week 1: Core & Alignment - foundations of breath, core canister, spine and pelvic functions
Week 2: Pelvic Health - incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic floor health, pelvic girdle pain
Week 3: Birth Prep - learn how to prepare your body for birth, learn tips and tricks for advancing labour, preventing tearing, and birthing efficiently.
Week 4: Postpartum Repair & Return to Activity - tools for effective abdominal wall repair (Diastasis Recti), pelvic floor recovery and return to activity
This workshop is part lecture and part mat/floor work. You will be provided with handouts and exercises (with video links) each week.
