Healthy Mumma's 2016 Holiday Gift Guide

According to the calendar there are twelve days until Christmas. I know. I also know that most people (of the male variety) have not started their shopping yet. Help a loved one out by sending them this list if you see something you'd like under the tree. This is obviously just a bunch of things I want (#noshame) or maybe already have and love oh so much.

This is pretty much the cutest skirt ever?! I was hunting for a regular running skirt for myself when I came across the maternity versions. Adorable. Don't worry, if you think the candy-cane look might grow old after Jan 1st, it does come in different patterns. You are welcome. And if you happen to get this or already own this, please send me a photo of your cuteness.

If I can't have the candycane running skirt, I'll definitely take a pair of my favourite winter runners. These gals are awesome for snow, slush and ice. Bring it on winter.

A few books that are on my shelf (Oh She Glows) or on my shelf's list. I don't typically make New Year's resolutions, but as soon as I open my eyes on Jan 1st it's bye-bye sugar. I am hopeful that I Quit Sugar will help this mumma out. For how long my sugar fast will last I don't know, but I have done it before (like ten years ago) and I remember feeling AH-mazing. I'm committed. Anyone else planning to kick the sugar craving crazies in the New Year? On a completely different note, I also would love to curl up on the couch with In The Company Of Women. Being a long time Design*Sponge reader, I'd love to read Grace Bonney's new book. I would also like to find my inner BADASS, because what mumma doesn't need that?

Some great stocking stuffers that say: GO! Go have some alone time in the bath tub. YES. PLEASE. All in the name of self-care. Giver her (me) some bath salt, facial serumface cream, body lotionscrubbers and a pretty candle and she'll love you forever.

Yoga Tune-up balls and a foam roller for working out tight muscles are the next best thing to a massage.

A pretty agenda for the New Year will keep the mumma on your list feeling like the boss that she is. Add some self-care dates (and childcare provided by you) for a little something extra. So smart.

A gift of hope through Plan Canada is always a great idea. A Mama Kit, Newborn Checkup or Healthy Baby Delivery are such special gift ideas for any mumma. A digital subscription to Canadian Running or another fitness mag is also a great last minute gift.

Happy holidays!
